HEG Network

 RSC HEG Network

The Royal Society of Chemistry Higher Education Group organises Network meetings for the benefit of the wider community. You do not need to be a member of the RSC or of the HEG to participate.

The aim of the Network is to arrange (free) meetings around current topics in University teaching of Chemistry a few times each year. The summer meeting is normally the day before the ViCPEHEC conference.

To sign up to the mailing list, please fill in this form.

I’m always looking for meeting themes and possible hosts; please get in touch if you’d like to help with one.

Funding

Catering is covered by the RSC Higher Education Group.

The RSC has two funds which might be of use to people attending Network meetings. In both cases, applicants need to hold some level of membership with the RSC (the carer’s fund requires applicants to have held membership for three years).

The RSC Higher Education Group bursaries can be used to offset travel costs.

The RSC Carer’s Grant provides money to cover caring costs (not travel/accom) associated with attending events. This might, for example, be used to cover childcare when attending the Summer HEG Network meeting and ViCEPHEC conference.
